Michael Werz (disponible en inglés o español) Michael Werz is a Senior Fellow at American Progress where his work as member of the National Security Team focuses on climate migration and security as well as transatlantic foreign policy including Turkey. Werz is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University's BMW Center for German and European Studies. A frequent policy commentator for international media, he speaks fluent Spanish in addition to his native German.

Lawrence Korb is a Senior Fellow at American Progress. Dr. Korb served as assistant secretary of defense from 1981 through 1985, where he administered about 70 percent of the defense budget.

Brian Katulis is a Senior Fellow at American Progress, where his work focuses on U.S. national security policy in the Middle East and South Asia. He is co-author of The Prosperity Agenda, a book on U.S. national security published by John Wiley & Sons in 2008. Katulis speaks Arabic.

Matthew Duss is a National Security Researcher/Blogger at American Progress. His writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, The Baltimore Sun, The American Prospect, and The Guardian, and he has appeared as a commentator on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, and Al Jazeera.

Peter Juul is a Research Associate at American Progress, where he specializes in the Middle East, military affairs, and U.S. national security policy. He holds degrees in international relations from Carleton College and security studies from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.

Laura Conley is a Research Assistant for National Security and International Policy. In this position she focuses primarily on military and defense issues. Laura previously completed internships with the Center of Concern and the Office of Senator Russ Feingold.
